Lifestyles of the Rich and Infamous
(Complete)

A scheming personal trainer sleeps with a newly widowed tycoon.  When a surprise pregnancy threatens scandal, the mother demands millions to keep quiet and disappears.

Eighteen years later, Nyx Green, notorious for her red lipstick and over-the-top personality, has just snagged the man of her dreams–the brooding Crashbang bassist AJ Abbott.  Well, he was the man of her dreams.  Now that they’re together, Nyx is realizing that he’s way too obsessed with his music to even think about having a girlfriend.

AJ’s obsession pays off when the band meets with record executives in New York City, and Nyx is reintroduced to her estranged, half-brother Jeremy. Reuniting with long lost family is complicated enough (especially a long lost family who are tabloid staples), but Nyx never expected to meet Tristan.

See, Jeremy happens to be best friends with the gorgeous, arrogant Tristan Halifax, an A-Lister with a penchant for beautiful women. Nyx and Tristan might experience love  at first sight, but rock star ex-boyfriends are hard to forget—especially when they keep writing chart topping love songs dedicated to her red lipstick.

Overnight, Nyx Carrington becomes America’s Sweetheart—scandalizing parties, frolicking with Manhattan’s Golden Boys, and being hounded by photographers. Sure, it’s fun, but then the press starts turning nasty—jeopardizing her relationship with Tristan, ruining her reputation, and discovering her old skeletons.  Plus, there’s AJ, who’s randomly morphed into a great guy, and now is fighting to reignite their high school romance.

Celebrities are supposed to have it all, right?  Money.  Looks.  Love.  But suddenly, a downward spiral doesn’t seem all that unrealistic, and Nyx will have to decide what’s more important–her new infamous lifestyle or her familiar small-town roots.

He Loves Me Not
(In Process)

You know how in, like, all those teen romance movies, the shy girl with glasses falls for the handsome, kind quarterback, only he’s too busy dating his terrible cheerleader girlfriend?  And then some quirky twist of fate unites the nerd and the quarterback, and he takes off her glasses, and BOOM, they’re in love.

Why doesn’t anyone ever stop to think about that poor cheerleader?  Did she really deserve to get dumped on the most important night of her whole life in front of the entire town?!

Sorry.  Momma says I need to keep my head high and get over it, but they are making it really hard.  It’s just that Bobby and I were supposed to get married and have babies and live in a big house on the ocean, and then he went and ruined everything by falling for some sad girl named Chloe who wears entirely too much black.  (Bless her heart, but everyone knows that black does nothing for anyone’s complexion.)

Now Bobby’s ‘s parading Chloe around school like she’s new teen royalty, and my senior year is absolutely falling apart because everyone’s taking his side.  And my only friend seems to be this tattooed guy named Chad who is living with his band in the house next door for the summer, and bless his heart, he’s really nice, but he’s not Bobby Bishop.

Whenever the pageant judges ask me who my role model is, I always say Scarlett O’Hara because she was strong and sassy and Southern, and I swear, with God as my witness and Scarlett as my inspiration, I, Margaret May Carrington, will have Bobby Bishop back in my arms before this summer is over.
